JOHN GRIFFIOEN JR.

John worked at Williams Furniture for over four decades, achieving top sales numerous years. He never complained and was ever the optimist and loved doting on his loving wife, Sue. He enjoyed fishing, golf, camping, joking, and having fun. John was an elder and taught catechism at several churches he attended.

John Griffioen Jr., age 85 of Lowell, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior Friday, March 1, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Sr. and Elizabeth Griffioen; son-in-law, Phil VanHarn; great-grandsons, Benjamin Klooster and Ryder Sutter; brothers, Arie and Perry Griffioen; sisters-in-law, Kathy Korhorn, and Mary Griffioen. John is survived by his wife of 64 years, Sue Griffioen; children, David (Lori) Griffioen, Cheryl (Eric) Duram, Lisa (Fred) VanHarn-Vail, and Jon (Kim) Griffioen; brothers, Harold (Pam) Griffioen, Wayne (Jan) Griffioen; sister, Lois (Jake) Postma; sister-in-law, Wanda Griffioen; 18 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. His faith and his family were the most important things to him. John worked at Williams Furniture for over four decades, achieving top sales numerous years. John was an elder and taught catechism at several churches he attended. Service will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at 11am with visitation one hour prior at Calvary Christian Reformed Church of Lowell, 1151 W Main St, Lowell, MI 49331. Rev. Ryan Landt officiating.
