JUDITH EDDY

She graduated from Saranac High School class of 1956. She attended Day Bible Church, Saranac Community Church, and Lowell First Methodist Church. Judy operated Day Care and especially loved them all as her own.

Judith Eddy, age 86 of Lowell, passed away surrounded by her loving family, May 2, 2024. She was born December 26, 1937, in Middletown, Ohio, the daughter of John W and Oleta May (Brandenburg) Smith. Judy married Douglas Eddy, September 18, 1959, in Lowell, MI. She graduated from Saranac High School class of 1956. She attended Day Bible Church, Saranac Community Church, and Lowell First Methodist Church. Judy operated Day Care and especially loved them all as her own.

She is survived by her loving husband, Douglas Eddy of Lowell; children, DeAnn Eddy of Grand Ledge, Lisa Eddy and Tina of Grandville, Doug (Stacy) Eddy of Lowell and Tricia (Greg) Kist of Fox River Grove; grandchildren, Kennedy Kist, Maddie Kist, AC Story, Mackenzie Kist, Frankie Eddy and Dallas Eddy; brother, Jack (Betty) Smith of Florida; sisters, Nancy Thornton of Lowell, and Sharon (Dave DeVries) Nead of Florida; sisters-in-law, Zeta Smith of Saranac, and Rose (John) Stephenson of Irons; brother and sister-in-law, Ron and Margaret Story of Grand Rapids, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Betty Story, Tom Smith, Jay Smith, and Jim Smith. Funeral Services were at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 6th, at the Saranac Community Church in Saranac with State Rep. Gina Johnsen officiating. Visitation will be at the Lake Funeral Home in Ionia on Sunday from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM. Memorial donations may be made to Boston Historical Society.
