She was an avid reader and enjoyed crosswords and dot to dot puzzles. She was a skilled cook and loved baking. Peggy was well known for her amazing banana bread.

Peggy Jo Serbenta, age 83 of Lowell, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, March 16, 2024. She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Adele Jensen; brothers, Robert, Larry, and Terry “Babe” Jensen. Peggy is survived by her husband of 59 years, William; children, Kimberly (Dan) Stephens, and Craig (Deanna) Serbenta; grandchildren, Zachary (Rachel) Stephens, Lucas Stephens, Jacob (Kourtney) Stephens, Ashley (Denver) Stonecheck, Nathan Stephens, Kylee Stephens, Sage (Abbey) Serbenta, Matthew Stephens, Kelsey Stephens; great-grandson, Denver James Stonecheck; brothers, John ”Buck” Jensen, and Donald “Shorty” Jensen; sister, Patsy Riggs; and several nieces and nephews. Peggy grew up on the family farm in Irons, MI, and spent several decades working for General Motors. She was an avid reader and enjoyed crosswords and dot to dot puzzles. She was a skilled cook and loved baking. Peggy was well known for her amazing banana bread. She was a skilled seamstress who enjoyed making ceramic dolls and their clothing. She devoted her entire life to her family and doating on her grandkids. Peggy always had a positive attitude and loved her family fiercely. Her love and devotion continues on through her family. Visitation will take place 2-4pm and 6-8pm, Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at Roth-Gerst Funeral Home, 305 N. Hudson, Lowell, MI 49331. Funeral service will be at 11am, Thursday, March 21, 2024, with visitation one-hour prior at the same location. Pastor Ken Ford officiating. Interment Bailey Cemetery.
