This January, in only her first year at Bushnell Elementary School in Lowell, Bailey’s first grade students, not only exceeded her expectations in the competition, but they actually won first place in the state of Michigan and ranked 28th in the entire country.

In front of a sold out crowd, the Lowell High School musical Beauty and the Beast dazzled on Friday night as the opening weekend was a roaring success for the production. Under the direction of Amanita Fahrni, this year’s musical featured a two story set, hard working cast and crew, and plenty of talent.

The Lowell FFA completed a successful trip to the Michigan FFA State Convention, February 28 through March 1. Eleven members from Lowell traveled to Michigan State University to receive awards or compete in state-level competitions.
