Jamie L. Teachworth, age 58, passed away on Monday, August 11, 2025, after a courageous battle with Osteosarcoma.

Jamie L. Teachworth, age 58, passed away on Monday, August 11, 2025, after a courageous battle with Osteosarcoma. Jamie was born on May 1, 1967 in Hastings, MI to John and Jane (Mutch) Cook. Jamie was 1985 graduate of Lakewood High School. She went on to work at the USDA as a secretary, over 29 years of hard work and dedication, she obtained the Program Director title for the West Michigan Region. In 1996, she married Ryan Teachworth and together they raised three children over 29 years of marriage.

Jamie was community-minded, working the election polls, Flat River Outreach Ministries, along with any other way she could give back to her community. She will be forever cherished by her husband Ryan; children Paul (Marci) Teachworth, Michaela (Jameson) Mattice and Jesse (Chelsie) Teachworth; nine grandchildren; parents John and Jane Cook; siblings John (Kathleen) Cook, Jeff Cook, along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

According to her wishes, cremation will take place and a memorial visitation will take place at Koops Funeral Chapel on August 21, 2025, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. To honor Jamie’s Legacy of giving, the family would like to encourage you to donate blood as often as you can. In lieu of flowers, donations can be given to Flat River Outreach Ministries or West Michigan Hospice.
